The Four Noble Truths
1. Life is unsatisfactory and subject to impermanence. Therefore we suffer.
2. The reason we suffer is because we are attached to things that by the nature of all things are transient. They do not last, we lose them and we suffer.
3. The way to end our suffering (unsatisfactoriness) is to let go of our attachment to things being the way we want them.
4. There is a path that outlines how we can move beyond the unsatisfactory nature of life This path is the Middle Way of the Buddha; the Eightfold Path.
